To celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, on September 21，the Chinese Embassy in Samoa hosted a China-Samoa Youth Friendship Gathering. H.E. Ambassador Fei Mingxing delivered video remarks, and Mr. Li Li, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, attended the event.

Ambassador Fei noted that China and Samoa have journeyed hand in hand along a path of friendship for more than half a century. Looking ahead to the next 50 years, he expressed the hope that young people of both countries will uphold a global vision, shoulder the responsibilities of the times, and strive to be advocates of the four global initiatives, envoys of cultural exchange, and guardians of China-Samoa friendship, contributing their youthful strength to building a community with a shared future for humanity.

Li Li said that China attaches great importance to youth-related work between the two countries and is ready to continue providing Samoan youth with opportunities for education, training, and skills development. He expressed the hope that young people of both countries will integrate their personal dreams into the cause of China-Samoa friendship and work together to create an even brighter future for bilateral relations.

More than 30 young representatives from the diplomatic, economic, media, and cultural sectors of China and Samoa attended the event.
