Samoa is a pearl in the South Pacific with beautiful scenery, unique culture and kind people. Although separated by vast oceans, China and Samoa started friendly exchanges in antiquity and Chinese people arrived in Samoa working and living since late 19th century with positive contribution to development and progress of Samoa.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Samoa on 6th November, 1975, the bilateral relation has been developing stably and profoundly, and being regarded as a model of friendly cooperation between China and Pacific Island countries. In 2018, China and Samoa elevated the relation to a comprehensive strategic partnership featuring mutual respect and common development, ushering in a new chapter for China-Samoa relations.

The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Independent State of Samoa stays committed to tying up the friendly China-Samoa relations, deepening friendship between our two peoples, advancing mutually beneficial cooperation, and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese institutions and citizens in Samoa.
