The participants at the tourism forum being held at T.A.T.T.E
Ambassador Wang Xuefeng attended the opening ceremony of Samoa Annual Tourism Forum organized by Ministry of Tourism at the T.A.T.T.E building in Apia on 9 March, 2016. Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi launched the forum. More than 200 guests and participants were present at the ceremony including Cabinet Ministers, members of diplomatic corps and representatives from international organizations.
Prime Minister Tuilaepa made a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. He said, “Tourism is important for our economic structure, preservation of our prestige culture and the sustaining of our pristine environment”.
“There are exciting developments in the pipeline for the industry this year in terms of properties. We have made progress through the establishment of three first class accommodations such as the Sheraton Aggie Grey’s Resort, the soon to be opened Sheraton Aggie Grey Hotel and Bungalows and the Taumeasina Island Resort which will be opening in the next couple of months”. Prime Minister said.

The theme of Samoa tourism is “Achieving Excellence”. During the two-day forum participants will consider the vision of the Samoa tourism sector plan 2014-2019 and will receive best advice from various sectors as well as from diplomatic corps and international organizations that will prompt the achievement of excellence and depths.

Ambassador Wang Xuefeng extensively exchanged views with many participants. He said that during the Samoa 2016 Tourism Year, Chinese Embassy will continue to make efforts in attracting more Chinese enterprises to help build more top-class tourism properties and he wished more fruitful results for this tourism year.
