Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing Presents Letter of Credence

On Jan. 16, 2024, Chinese Ambassador to the Independent State of Samoa Fei Mingxing presented his Letter of Credence to Afioga Le Mamea Tuiletufuga Ropati Mualia, acting Head of State. 

Ambassador Fei conveyed warm greetings and best wishes of President Xi Jinping to the Head of State of Samoa, and said that China attaches great importance to enhancing relations with Samoa and stands ready to tie up bilateral relations, strengthen high-level exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

Afioga Le Mamea welcomed Ambassador Fei to his new post, and reiterated that the bilateral relations of Samoa and China are underpinned by friendship and adherence to the one-China principle which strengthens mutual respect for one another, through sovereignty and territorial integrity and the shared interest in the development of the two countries and peoples.

 Ambassador Fei arrived in Samoa on Jan. 1, 2024.
