On September 11, Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing attended the Taiji Night event at the Embassy and delivered remarks. More than 60 guests including Samoan Minister for Education and Culture Hon. Aiono Dr. Alec Ekeroma, Minister of Family and Social Affairs Hon. Moefa'auouo Julius Ah Kui Tafuna'i, and representatives of diplomatic corps and the local Chinese community, were present.

Ambassador Fei noted that Taiji is deeply rooted in Chinese culture and represents a crossborder, world renowned treasure of Eastern culture. The Taiji Night serves as an occasion for civilizational exchange and mutual learning between China and Samoa. He expressed the hope that participants would grow fond of Taiji, become supporters and advocates of Taijiquan and its philosophies, bring benefits to local communities and contribute to the pursuit of global harmony.
Members of the 25th Chinese Medical Team to Samoa conducted an onsite introduction to Taijiquan and delivered demonstration lessons. The guests followed along with great enthusiasm.
